Clips # 5114, 5115 and 5116 definitely belong to a different film, Lemke als Brotbaecker (Lux, 1911), Joye cat no 932 and should be separated from the rest. Please note: Turconi mistakenly gave MAN SOLL DEN TAG NICHT the wrong number on the envelope: it should have been 937. Lemke als Brotmaker is listed in Joye catalogue as number 932, SOLL DEN... as number 937. I am also uncertain about the identity of frame 4591, but let’s leave it with SOLL DEN... for the time being.

Should read “Man soll den Tag nicht vor dem Abend loben” (’Don’t praise the day before the evening,’ loosely translated: ‘Don’t count your chickens before they’re hatched’).
