PCU, Nov 18, 2011: The previous identification (taken from a BFI plot synopsis) must be reconsidered. AIRSC Catalogue 1996, pp. 92-93, lists the film as LEOPARD QUEEN, 1909. Film director is still Frank Boggs, as listed by the American Film Index. The main character in this film is also called Kate.
PCU Dec 6, 2009: Identified: CAPTAIN KATE (Selig, US 1911), Dir. Frank Boggs. Joye Catalog 1960 lists the title as IN DEN KLAUEN DES LÖWEN.
