There is something strange here. Joye Catalogue 1960 and BFI records would confirm identification as a Clarendon film. However, plot synopsis does not mention at all the fire shown in the film fragments. Given that another Joye item had the title KLEINE SHERLOCK HOLMES spliced on the wrong print (# 733, CALINO BUREAUCRATE), maybe Turconi has mixed up some frames and the fragments seen here are not related to the Clarendon film? A closer look at the inscription on the wall in some of the frame may be of help. PCU, Apr 1st, 2010.
