From envelope with handwritten note “909, Kleiner Willy als Seefahrer”, unrelated to this film. |

JLY 9/23/2015 Per Roland-François Lack: 10536 has the word FRERES on the perforations, but this is not the Pathé film La Fée aux pigeons, despite the ‘alternative title’ Taubenfee. Have removed Taubenfee from foreign title list.
JLY 4/22/2010 Updated, per discussion with PCU.
PCU Apr 22, 2010. In a note deleted accidentally I referred to the film DIE TAUBENFEE in relation to either 10536-10537 or to 10535, both found in the Turconi envelope “909, Kleiner Willy als Seefahrer”. Joye catalogue 1702 lists a film called DIE TAUBENFEE, but the film is listed as a Pathé féerie. So the mystery on these frames remains. -PCU,
SBL 5/13/09 FIAF lists production company [of KLEINER WILLY] as Eclair; see also note by DC [accidentally erased Apr 22, 2010]
DC Willy in the title is the actor Willy Sanders, English child actor famous for his character as `Little Willy' made by the French company Eclair.
According to BFI and Turconi handwriting, the production company is Eclair, but the clippings display “Pathé Frères” edge inscriptions. Is it therefore possible that these frames are not related to the title on envelope. BFI website mentions that their film was erroneously titled (TAUBEUFEE) Joye no.1702 - DC |
