PCU, Dec 4, 2009: Joye 1960 Catalogue lists this film as Cat. No. 172. See my note to film listed with Tite Inventory 0418, Im Tode versöhnt. Another mystery: “Turconi Envelope” (=Joye 1960 Catalog) title 1644 is void, i.e. no item is listed under that number. The number would be included in the group of films of military subject in the Joye Catalog. Is there a photograph of the Turconi Envelope?
PCU, Nov 16, 2011: AIRSC Catalogue 1996 lists the film as Lieutenant Rose and the Chinese Pirates.
“Cinese” is a spelling error for “Chinese”. The original title and the German alternate title (= “The Mysteries of the Old Temple”) are both listed on BFI website - DC |
