Program Notes |
Ofuji’s earliest extant film blends live footage and cut-out animation as it explores “the mysterious connection between a woman and a cigarette” (Akira Tochigi). It is not clear as to whether this was a test film, or whether it is a surviving fragment of a longer lost film. -- ALEXANDER JACOBY & JOHAN NORDSTRÖM |
