RONEN THALMAY accompagna regolarmente i film muti alla Cineteca del Danish
Film Institute, ed ha anche inciso gli accompagnamenti a diverse edizioni
su DVD dei classici del muto pubblicate dal DFI. Ha composto le musiche
per lungometraggi contemporanei e di recente ha deciso di occuparsi di
più della sua band, di cui è il cantante principale.
RONEN THALMAY performs regular piano accompaniments for silent films at
the Danish Film Institute Cinematheque, and has also recorded accompaniments
for several of the silent classic DVD editions issued by the DFI. He has
written scores for contemporary feature films, and has recently decided
to devote more time to his band, of which he is a lead singer.
ROMANO
TODESCO, musicista e compositore eclettico, nonché polistrumentista,
ha iniziato lo studio della musica a 6 anni con la fisarmonica, si è diplomato
poi in contrabbasso al Conservatorio G. Tartini di Trieste. Nel corso
degli anni ha collaborato con diversi organici orchestrali, esplorando
i più svariati
generi musicali. Per il cinema muto compone musiche originali eseguite
dal vivo dalla Zerorchestra di Pordenone di cui è uno dei fondatori.
I musicisti con i quali collabora da più tempo sono: Neil Brand,
Günter Buchwald, Phil Carli. Alle Giornate 2006, accompagna anche,
come membro del Prima Vista Social Club, Safety Last!
ROMANO TODESCO is an eclectic composer and musician, as well as a poly-instrumentalist.
He began his studies with the accordion at 6, and subsequently took his
diploma in double bass at the G. Tartini Conservatoire of Trieste. Over
the years he has collaborated with different orchestral formations, exploring
the most varied musical genres.
For silent cinema he composes original music for live perfomance by the
Zerorchestra of Pordenone, of which he is one of the founders. At the
Giornate and elsewhere he has collaborated for some years with Neil Brand,
Günter
Buchwald, Phil Carli, and others. At this year’s Giornate he will
also be playing with the Prima Vista Social Club for Safety Last!
