More Undiscovered
Britain

A further "trailer" for the promised 1999 rediscovery of British silent cinema introduces the fascinating personality of Adrian Brunel (1892-1958), the "intellectual" of the twenties' cinema and a close friend of Alfred Hitchcock (they formed the hate Club together). He is represented by a series of cruelly witty short parodies on the film genres of the time, together with his own feature The Man Without Desire, with Britain's most charismatic and legendary star of the twenties, Ivor Novello.
